This airfryer from Philips is sheer genius! There are so many things I am using it for, and adapting new recipes all the time. The more I use it the more I love it. If you are travelling in your boat, caravan or motorhome, this is for you. You will never use the oven again. It is a perfect size for a couple of grey nomads or a small family, and there is a larger one in the pipeline I believe, but don't wait for it. Most people will want both. I certainly do!!

Tawa Paneer Roll

Ingredients

  • Paneer 600 g
  • Carrots 50g julienned
  • Cabbage 50g shredded
  • Yellow aam papad 40g
  • Rice flour For dusting
  • Chilli powder 5 g
  • Turmeric powder 5 g
  • Oil For brushing
  • Salt To taste
  • How to Cook

    Tawa Paneer Roll

    1. Take a whole block of paneer. Cut the paneer into thin slices which can be rolled. Apply salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder on the
    paneer. Place the slices on a hot non stick pan for two minutes.
    2. In a separate pan sauté carrots and cabbage. Add juliennes of aam papad and cook for 2 minutes.
    3. Spread the filling over the paneer slices. Roll the paneer. Dust it with rice flour.
    4. Pre heat the Airfryer at 180oC for 5 minutes.
    5. Place the rolls in the Airfryer. Set the temperature at 180oC and air fry for 1 minute.
    6. Open the Airfryer. Lightly brush the rolls with oil. Air fry at the same temperature for another 2-4 minutes or until golden brown

    Paneer stuffed brinjals

    Ingredients

    • Brinjals, big - 1 - 2 no's
    • Paneer, grated -- 1 cup
    • Pickle -- ½ tsp
    • Coriander leaves -- 1 tbsp

    For coating:

    • Lemon juice -- 1 no
    • Salt -- to taste
    • Chili powder -- ½ tsp
    • Garam masala – pinch
    • Turmeric powder – pinch
    • Ginger garlic paste -- ¼ tsp
    • Rice flour -- 3 tbsp
    • Oil -- 1 tsp

    Steps:
    1. Cut the big sized brinjals/ eggplants into thick slices. Take a slice and carefully slit halfway through to stuff the paneer mixture.
    2. Take a bowl, add grated paneer, any pickle you have, finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
    3. Take some paneer mixture and stuff in between the eggplant slice, repeat and stuff the other slices too.

    For the coating:
    1. Take an eggplant slice, squeeze over little bit of lemon juice on both sides. Sprinkle some salt over, chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste. Rub this masala mixture on all the sides of the eggplant.
    2. In a plate take some rice flour, chili powder and pinch of salt. Mix all ingredients well.
    3. Coat the eggplant with the spicy flour on all sides and air fry them.
    4. Preheat the air fryer at 180 degree C for 5 minutes.
    5. Place the eggplants in the basket and fry them.
    6. After 5 minutes, pull out the eggplant, remove onto a plate and baste the eggplants with very little oil and again put them back into the air fryer and fry for 4-5 minutes.
    7. Remove and serve them hot.
